I have been a patient of Dr. Dodson's for over 20 years. I referred myself to him after several general dentists tried and failed to correct a unique problem I was having with some crowns. Because of his post-doctorate training in prosthodontics he immediately understood exactly the treatment course I needed and preceded successfully with correct restorative repair. Since that time I have continued to seek treatment by Dr. Dodson for not only prosthodontic dentistry but general dentistry as well. I came to him very disillusioned and frightened by dentists in general and he restored my confidence with his expert knowledge and skill.
Additionally, he has a very friendly and competent staff who have continued employment with him for many, many years. This speaks volumes about the integrity and character of his practice. I can't complete this without saying that Dr. Dodson gives patients his home and cell phone numbers and over the years has seen me on weekends and evenings when I have needed emergency assistance. A rare quality in my experience.

I have been Dr. Dodson's patient for over 25 years. In my experience, he is highly gifted and talented in his work as a dentist and prosthodontist. With his superb diagnostic abilities, he has been able to alleviate all of my T.M.J. and other dental problems.
It always amazes me how quickly he can pinpoint exactly which teeth are causing the discomfort to my bite, and remove the problem quickly through precise and accurate adjustments. I feel that Dr. Dodson does his work with a concerned and caring manner and is truly interested in his patients. I am also appreciative of the wonderful staff he has selected to complement his practice.

I really appreciate Dr. Dodson and my new front tooth. When I came to see Dr. Dodson I had a missing front tooth. I had worn a flipper for years to fill in my smile. It was uncomfortable and I was very aware of it. He made me a beautiful new permanent tooth that matches my other teeth perfectly! Now I’m proud of my teeth and enjoy smiling again. I love my new smile! When I first came to Dr. Dodson I was very frightened. I hadn’t been able to go into a dental office for over 10 years. I had a bad experience at my childhood dentist and it left a lasting fear of dentists.When I met Dr. Dodson he explained that I could have sedation dentistry and rest comfortably while he completed my dental treatment. It worked beautifully and was indeed pain free. Now I can come in and see Dr. Dodson and his hygienist without fear. I really love that and feel confident again.

I drive 4.5 hours to have my smile taken care of by Dr. Dodson and then drive the 4.5 hours home. Why? Why not? I know I’m not the only one either. I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d want to go. This is my dental home in more ways than one. Before I had my teeth cared for by Dr. Dodson I thought dentistry just hurt. I felt about my dental check ups like I did about scheduled vaccinations and bloodwork, they were uncomfortable but necessary.
The first time I sat in Dr.’s chair I was scared and prayed the time went by quickly. Of course I was at ease within five minutes. I felt little and was put at ease by someone who had passion about dentistry. I had a molar that had shattered and had little structure left. Most dentists would have had me remove the tooth. Dr. Dodson believed this tooth to be an important part of my bite. He not only restored the tooth to be functional but he was able to do it in the matter of an afternoon. For this reason alone, is enough to make this 4.5 hour drive.
Dr. Dodson has a state of the art office that can service all of your dental needs. Where else in California can you go and not only can your dentist act as your dentist/prosthodontist, he can act as a careful lab technician who can mock up, create and repair your dental prosthetics. I don’t know about you but I would much rather be cared for by someone who had a clear understanding of all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Dodson is your guy!
You might ask how I might know this…I worked as his assistant for 5+ years. I can tell you all the proper dental protocol is followed in this office. Dr. Dodson is a perfectionist and always makes sure that he and his staff are diligent to always cross their T’s and dot their I’s. He and his staff spend their off time on continuing education courses and are constantly striving to keep up with dental technology. I always watched him with his patients and he always treated them more like extended family. He always took the time to get to know each person beyond their patient chart. Dr. always had a genuine smile for each patient and worked with each person to achieve their dental goals, whether it be a new smile, relief from pain and restoration or just getting over the psychological baggage fast-food dentistry created.
By this time in my life I have sat in many dental chairs. I have been nothing but a chart that was a potential revenue stream. I have also had friend dentists. I have liked some of the dentists but I can honestly say I was not comfortable with all of them. I have every faith in Dr. Dodson because I have been on both sides. I have been his patient and I have been his assistant. I am again his patient since myself and growing family moved 4.5 hours away 6 years ago. I am completely at ease because I know he cares about my teeth as much as he cares about dentistry.
